Dynamic Australian opener David Warner called time Monday on one-day international cricket ahead of his farewell Test against Pakistan this week, but kept the door open to play the 2025 Champions Trophy if needed. Ahead of the auction, the teams have retained their heavy-hitters and released the players deemed excess to their requirements in order to free up funds to strengthen their squads at the auction. However, there are a few points that need to be remembered. Each team can have a maximum of 25 players in the squad, which includes an upper cap of eight overseas players.
